IMG_20160105_113256My wife passed away two years ago, and I lived at home using a walker. Last August a friend of mine suggested that we take a ride to Canal Winchester to visit this new Inn at Winchester Trail.  I was not looking for a place; I thought I was doing well at home.  As we drove up, I told my friend this looked like a vacation home in Colorado.

We entered the door and a most vivacious lady met us at the desk and offered to show us around. After seeing the many advantages this place offered; I was looking at my future home.  I asked my son and daughter to come and take a look.  We talked to another very charming lady, Sarah Derouen, the Executive Director.  My son and daughter agreed that this was the place for me.

I moved in on August 15, 2015.  I have lived in my new home over three months.  Here is where it gets difficult for me to tell in writing how wonderful my new home is:  (I’m better at talking), and the people who are in charge, the entire staff is dedicated to caring for each and every one of us and our specific needs.

I could list all the material things that we have, however, the importance of this home is the care given to each of us.  I shall end with saying I feel it was God’s will that I am here, and I thank Him every morning.
